Illegal and unauthorized colonies in the national Capital
Delhi may soon witness a great deal of infrastructure development. Chief
Minister Ms. Sheila Dixit has formed a Special Task Force in this manner.
Previously the CM said that she is very keen to boost the
rate of development in the unauthorized colonies in the city so the regularization
of these areas can be completed. Three municipal commissioners and the
divisional commissioner, Chief Engineers of DSIIDC, the Irrigation and Flood Department,
PWD and Delhi Jal Board will serve this Task Force. The task force will work on the issues that ensure
expeditious decision on various issues pursuant to regularization of
unauthorized colonies, including finalization of layout plans and execution of
development works by various agencies. Director of the local bodies department
will be the Chairperson of this Task Force who will get the work reports every fortnight.
Two senior officers of the Urban Development Department will give the information
about unauthorized the Resident Welfare Associations.
