The Noida Authority has mandated for the individual
apartment owners to get their property registered with the State Stamp and
Registration Department. If not, they will have to pay a fine of Rs. 100 per
day basis. Supreme Court had also set a deadline for this on the 26 January
2012. Thus, the fine will be charged from this date.
The apartment owners will have to make a registration with
the Uttar Pradesh Stamp and Registration Department as this city of the
National Capital Region falls under the Uttar Pradesh.
Supreme Court had regulated in the September 2010 these individuals
that were allotted flats in the housing societies to have three part agreement
with the Noida Authority, Society and the individuals themselves. Later A
petition against this order was also filed which was rejected by the Apex Court
and the deadline date was extended for 6 months on the 27 July 2011 which ended
this January.
The fine will not be imposed on those who purchased the
required Stamps before the January 26th this year but could not get
their properties registered because of several reasons. For others, who didn’t
purchase the stamp, they should make complete
the formalities before the Sub-Registrar Office in the Sector 33 of Noida.
