A Rs. 100 Fine for Not Registering Co-operative Flats in Noida


The Noida Authority has mandated for the individual apartment owners to get their property registered with the State Stamp and Registration Department. If not, they will have to pay a fine of Rs. 100 per day basis. Supreme Court had also set a deadline for this on the 26 January 2012. Thus, the fine will be charged from this date. 
The apartment owners will have to make a registration with the Uttar Pradesh Stamp and Registration Department as this city of the National Capital Region falls under the Uttar Pradesh.
Supreme Court had regulated in the September 2010 these individuals that were allotted flats in the housing societies to have three part agreement with the Noida Authority, Society and the individuals themselves. Later A petition against this order was also filed which was rejected by the Apex Court and the deadline date was extended for 6 months on the 27 July 2011 which ended this January.
The fine will not be imposed on those who purchased the required Stamps before the January 26th this year but could not get their properties registered because of several reasons. For others, who didn’t purchase the stamp, they  should make complete the formalities before the Sub-Registrar Office in the Sector 33 of Noida.
